A day in my role is quite varied, with several ‘hats’, or perhaps a red cape and a phone box! Along with my colleagues in the education team, I am involved in planning and production of online course materials. I then move on to the (slightly) techy job of uploading and managing this content for our upcoming learning platform. I might then switch to providing support for schools around SEN and disability, or training and advice for assistive technology and accessibility.
Outside of work, I help with our local Community Cafe, keeping an eye on their website as well as having occasionally been called on to provide some training for the volunteers – clips from the Fawlty Towers episodes, especially “The Hotel Inspector” is a really fun way to get folks thinking about how not to do food hygiene and customer service! This partly explains the cooking photo below…
Some interesting facts about me!
I was taught mime skills by a graduate of Marcel Marceaux... Strange but true - Didn't suffer from jet-lag on a transatlantic flight - either way!
Daftest thing I did? went surfing in the middle of a thunderstorm... Scariest - Once came face to face with a grizzly bear in Yellowstone!
