Near Field Communications (NFC) & QR CODES
At connect we really do believe that ‘Everyone Can’ enjoy museums and exhibitions, turning a visit into an experience.
The NFC technology that we use allows guests with visual or print impairments to use their phone to hear information from exhibit displays.
What is NFC?
NFC is a method of wireless data transfer that detects and enables technology within close proximity. When a tag is ‘tapped’ by an NFC reader (usually smart phones or specifically designed readers), information is passed between them.
What are QR Codes?
A QR code is a machine-readable code, consisting of an array of black and white squares. The code is used for storing URLs or other information that the camera on a smartphone can read.
